Abstrak
This paper investigated the character education values in the tradition of the Salapan village community. The purpose of this research was to examine the existing character values and the internalization of these values through the cultural traditions. This research used descriptive-qualitative method using anthropological, sociological and hermeneutical approaches. The data were collected using interviews and documentation. The subject of this study was the people of the Salapan village of Gempol, Banyusari district, Karawang regency. Character Education Values in the tradition of the Salapan Village community comprised of Religious Values, Democratic Values, Environmental Care Value and Social Care Value
