Abstrak

Community service activities were carried out by the 2021 Garut University Thematic KKN Student Team on September 23, 2021. The socialization of the digital role in increasing the marketing of UMKM results in brown sugar production went according to what had been planned.Some of the factors supporting these activities include: (1) The participants of the socialization have a great desire to obtain information and knowledge about the material exposure of the use of the technology and how to use the manufacture of an application to facilitate the marketing of products produced by UMKM. (2) The socialization of the digital role in increasing the marketing of the results of UMKM production of brown sugar is strongly supported by local officials, both directly and indirectly, actively participating in the implementation of the training. The local government provides facilities for activities that are representative enough to carry out the socialization as well as support for carefully participating in socialization activities. Several obstacles were faced during the socialization of the digital role towards increasing the marketing of UMKM products for brown sugar production. (3) There are limitations in supporting facilities for conducting socialization and presentations, including the absence of an LCD projector. (4) The training activity which was planned to run for one day could not be realized because it collided with the activities of the participants who were mostly farmers, where their activities started from morning to evening. So the socialization team was a bit bothered to adjust the time rig. Keywords : Digital Role, Marketing, Brown Sugar.
